According to The Kiplinger Letter, “prices of food consumed at home increased a whopping 11.8% in 2022, the highest in 45 years. And the Dept. of Agriculture, which has notably underestimated inflation during the past few years, thinks grocery prices could increase by another 5% in 2023, led by cereals and bakery products, and fats and oils. The cost of many household staples, most notably eggs, will keep increasing in 2023 up to 60%.
